I would like to offer my support of High Hopes Excelling Youth Enterprises,
Inc. for the beneficial impact they have on the community through their
programs designed to promote self-esteem, parent mentoring, classes and
activities for our youth.

Clardy Vinson, Principal
It has been my experience to have known Michael in
the past in his capacity as an undergraduate student and mine as Dean of
Students at Washburn
University. During my
association with Michael, I have become aware that I have had contact with an
articulate, persevering man who has a genuine and sincere desire to succeed in
any endeavor he chooses to undertake. Michael is ambitious and is a
self-starter who has insight, is punctual, and is extremely active and involved
in community organizations. Michael is not just a spectator in those
organizations. Michael is not just a spectator in those organizations, but a
bona fide organizer and leader. Our community needs more of those types of
individuals.
I am accurate when I say that consideration of Michael Jefferson and High Hopes
would not be a waste of your time. Investing in Michael is assurance of a very
good return on your investment.
- Meredith Kidd, Dean of Students and
Chief Student Affairs Officer
High Hopes is uniquely qualified to help restore
hope to communities that so desperately need assistance. I encourage you to
give High Hopes proposal your most serious and thoughtful consideration.
- Sam Brownback, Kansas Governor
The model that High Hopes employs gives young
people a sense of purpose, pride, and empowers them to take charge to their
lives and their community. It is documented over and over again in the
literature that this model is one the most successful prevention methods. By
giving young people healthy choices and allowing them to make their own
decisions, High Hopes will be enabling young people of the community to become
successful, healthy adults.
It is due to this model that High Hopes is a success and why I strongly
recommend that you support this program.

Services Department
Wow - what can I say! Thank you so much for being
with us for our Third
Annual Parents
University and for
providing such an inspiring keynote address. I'll never think about
"spending time" and "paying attention" in quite the same
way. Thanks also for bringing Reg along to provide some serious thoughts in
such a light, humorous way. What a team you two make!
Thanks again for helping to make our Parents
University such a
success. I hope that our paths cross again in the future.

Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences
Adults need to remember the importance of being a good example. Kids want values, but they are rightly suspicious of talk without action. Of all the things that can motivate people, the pursuit of excellence is one of the most effective ways to do so, especially when combined with a positive can-do attitude.
